The Singapore Airlines Airbus A380 will debut on the Singapore to Beijing route on August 1, 2014, as demand for travel to China remains strong.
The A380 double-decker will operate as Singapore Airlines Flight 802 or SQ802, departing Singapore’s Changi Airport (SIN) at 8:30am with an arrival into Beijing (PEK) at 2:40pm, beginning on August 1st. Singapore Airlines Flight 807 or SQ807, will operate the return flight to Singapore Changi (SIN) — SQ807 will depart at 4:35pm with an arrival into Singapore Changi (SIN) at 10:55pm.
The Airbus A380, which seats 471 passengers, will replace two flights operated by smaller aircraft. The market between Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) – Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) will be served three times daily starting August 1, 2014.
Singapore Airlines, combined with their regional operation, SilkAir, provide flights to 11 cities in China with 120 weekly flights. Singapore Airlines has an additional 49 weekly flights to Hong Kong.
Singapore Airlines A380 Services
Both Shanghai and Beijing will have A380 service after the Beijing launch in August of 2014. The Airbus A380 has been a successful aircraft for Singapore Airlines as the largest aircraft in the world. Since 2007, Singapore Airlines has operated the A380 into markets including Hong Kong (HKG), Frankfurt, London, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Mumbai, New Delhi, New York (JFK), Paris, Sydney, Tokyo-Narita (NRT), and Zurich.
