Houston Bush Intercontinental to Istanbul Ataturk Intl

Istanbul, where east meets west, will soon have non-stop flights to Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in the United States.  The new nonstop flight will begin on April 1, 2013, with four weekly flights to start.  Star Alliance partner, United Airlines operates a significant hub at Houston Intercontinental (IAH) and Turkish has a wide variety of onward connections at Istanbul’s Ataturk International (IST).

The greater Houston area is home to many international companies, but of particular interest is the oil industry.  Turkish Airlines will provide the industry with easy connections across Russia and The Middle East which play a significant role in the industry.

In addition to the Houston service, demand for flights between New York City and Istanbul has been unusually high.  As a result, Turkish Airlines has added a third daily flight between New York and Istanbul.

Aside from New York, the carrier is well established with routes linking the United States with Turkey – Chicago O’Hare (ORD), Los Angeles Intl (LAX), Washington Dulles (IAD), and finally New York City, where the carrier operates from New York’s Kennedy Airport (JFK).
