The Shortest British Airways Long-Haul Route
London Heathrow (LHR) to Moscow Domodedovo Airport (DME) will soon become British Airways shortest, long-haul service route at just under 1600 miles. Starting March 26, 2012, long-haul aircraft will be used on this route offering British Airways First, Club World (Business), World Traveler Plus (premium economy), and World Traveler (economy) Class.
First and Business Class will offer full flat beds and premium services will be offered on this route which will operate three times daily. Passengers flying to Moscow from North America on British Airways will be able to complete the journey in their respective long-haul cabin connecting to either BA 223, the 8:55am departure from Heathrow or BA 235, the 11:05am departure. The third daily service, BA 237 will depart London Heathrow and arrive Moscow DME at 4:30am the following morning.
This new premium service makes connections via London more attractive, but competitive with carriers already providing premium services into Moscow.
If you’re looking to enjoy Moscow in style, British Airways and the 5* Ritz-Carlton have teamed up and are offering packages. Contact British Airways reservations or ba.com/moscow.
