787 Dreamliner Tour – United States Part I
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner World Tour is coming to the United States. Many have long awaited getting a good look at this bird, the Dream Tour airplane, ZA003. This will be the second segment of the tour and has four stops planned in the U.S. and in Ireland.
The Dream Tour aircraft is fit with many of the 787’s special cabin features. As you board the aircraft, you’ll be greeted to a welcoming entryway, you’ll see the giant windows, which have no shades – instead they’re dimmable, as well as larger overhead bins and slick LED lighting. The aircraft is configured with a well equipped business class cabin, an overhead crew rest area, and an economy cabin.
The January schedule includes these key stops:
- January 20-23: Wichita, Kansas, to visit partner Spirit AeroSystems and Boeing Employees
- January 23-25: Rockford, Illinois, to visit partner Hamilton Sundstrand
- January 25-27: Dublin, Ireland, to visit customers, leasing companies, financiers, and other stakeholders
- January 27-30: Huntsville, Alabama, to visit Boeing employees
“The all-new 787 Dreamliner continues to generate tremendous enthusiasm everywhere it flies,” said Scott Fancher, vice president and general manager, 787 program. “We look forward to sharing the Dreamliner’s significant innovations with additional airlines, partners and financiers.”
Dates and locations for additional tour stops, which are planned through April, will be announced proximately one month in advance.
